Fresco's on Bank Street in Cape May- Fresh and Friendly
Summertime in Cape May is a step back in time. Charming
Victorian houses, salt air, cool breezes and some of the best dining in the
area. Last year we had a great meal at 410 Bank Street so we wanted to try
their restaurant next door, Fresco's. We had an early reservation and were able
to get a table on the very charming porch. We struck up great conversations
with all the patrons. One couple from Philly, one from Hackensack, and 2 women
from Maryland.
We had wonderful service and very good food. We started with
rolls and olive oil and BYOB wine. We split the crab cake appetizer, $11, a crunchy
flat cake on top of angel hair pasta with olives and capers.(below)Unique and tasty.

Crab bisque $9, Lasagna $19, Putanesca $18, Penne Pesto $18,
Ravioli $17, Salmon $22, Lobster mkt, and Rigatoni with sausage $19.
The Scallop and Shrimp Pescatore, $26.50, is the most
requested entrée and was out of this world. The pappardelle pasta and cream
sauce made a nice blend and the seafood was tender and tasty.

My husband was a little disappointed in the Osso Bucco, $29,
after reading many reviews on how good it was. His veal was extra fatty and did
not have enough seasoning.

For dessert we enjoyed Chocolate Hazelnut Cake and Ricotta
Cheese Cake with fresh fruit.

Frescos is in an old Victorian house. You can park at the
end of the street and are reimbursed at the restaurant.
